Was this genuinely a new experience\u2026 or just a new label?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spoiler alert: About five minutes later, I was quietly apologizing to Knockout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(<a href=\"https:\/\/maryjaneinjapan.com\/index.php\/2026\/08\/27\/knockout-onariki-melt-nightjp\">Click here for Japanese \/ \u3053\u3053\u3092\u30af\u30ea\u30c3\u30af\u3057\u3066\u65e5\u672c\u8a9e\u306e\u30ec\u30d3\u30e5\u30fc\u3092\u3054\u89a7\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The original <a href=\"https:\/\/ko-online.co.jp\/products\/onariki\">ONARIKI<\/a>\u2014whose name rather unsubtly combines <em>onani<\/em> (masturbation) and liquid\u2014was designed as a self-pleasure vape built around sensory enhancement. Now Knockout has given it a sibling: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ko-online.co.jp\/products\/onariki-melt-night\">ONARIKI MELT NIGHT<\/a><\/strong>, a more body-focused version designed to begin with physical relaxation rather than external stimulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On paper, I was skeptical. We only have so many legal cannabinoids to work with in Japan\u2026 and yet Knockout somehow keeps rearranging the same toolbox into experiences that genuinely feel distinct. There was even a moment when I wondered if I was placebo-ing myself. Original ONARIKI begins with increased mental and sensory focus before gradually moving into the body. This is not grape candy. It isn&#8217;t particularly sugary at all. Instead, I got a deeper ripe-grape character that reminded me somewhat of the dark berry flavour in Knockout&#8217;s Gravity vape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knockout describes the blend as ripe grape sweetness with slight astringency and depth, and that feels about right. As usual for Knockout, it was also exceptionally smooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the first real surprise was the onset. I felt MELT in my head and chest almost immediately. I&#8217;d experienced the same thing during an earlier test with only two pulls, so this apparently wasn&#8217;t a fluke. And then came the cocoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"effects-less-spark-more-melt\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Effects: Less Spark, More Melt<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best way I can describe MELT&#8217;s early effect is that it felt as though my entire body had been gently cocooned. It wasn&#8217;t just a head high followed by a separate body high. There was an actual enveloping quality to it, as though my whole body had entered the same comfortable state at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within around ten minutes, I was already noticing increased physical sensitivity. Shortly afterward, my muscles began loosening, tension started disappearing, and my mind became noticeably quieter. And this is where the difference between the two ONARIKIs became obvious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With original ONARIKI, I became interested in external stimulation. Colours looked richer. Music sounded fantastic. I wanted to put something on, set the mood and then sink into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MELT NIGHT turned me inward. I was less interested in adding music or visual stimulation and more content listening to whatever was naturally around me\u2014the birds outside, rain, ambient sounds\u2014and simply being present in my body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps the simplest way to explain it is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sometimes you want to create the atmosphere. Sometimes you just want to<\/strong> <strong><em>be<\/em><\/strong> <strong>the atmosphere.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ONARIKI does the former beautifully. MELT is very much the latter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"does-onariki-melt-actually-enhance-touch\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Does ONARIKI MELT Actually Enhance Touch?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oh, yes. The increased sensitivity showed up relatively early for me, along with a very noticeable awareness of what was happening in certain\u2026 strategically relevant parts of my body. Whether MELT itself was entirely responsible or I was simply particularly receptive that evening is impossible to scientifically establish. I am, after all, one woman rather than a double-blind clinical trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But I&#8217;ve now experienced that increased body sensitivity more than once with MELT. More importantly, it feels different from simply turning sensation up. The physical relaxation seems integral to it. As my muscles loosened and my attention moved inward, touch became more interesting precisely because there was less tension competing with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, yes: MELT remains extremely suitable for a little <em>self-meditation<\/em>, if you catch my drift. And much like original ONARIKI, I became remarkably difficult to distract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In my original review, I said that if someone arrived at the door carrying pizza, a million dollars and my favourite dessert, I would have answered\u2014but I&#8217;d still want to get straight back to bed to continue my \u201cresearch.\u201d MELT NIGHT raises the stakes. I still <em>could<\/em> answer the door. Original ONARIKI gives me slightly more of a head high, while MELT NIGHT puts slightly more weight into the body\u2014which, considering they literally put <em>MELT<\/em> in the name, feels like the bare minimum Knockout needed to accomplish here. Thankfully, they did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By around the 45-minute to one-hour point, the two experiences become more similar. Both are immersive, physically pleasant and increasingly body-forward. MELT NIGHT simply maintains that slightly heavier body\/lighter head balance throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So don&#8217;t think of MELT NIGHT as ONARIKI Strong. Neither feels noticeably stronger overall\u2014they simply take different routes to roughly the same destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"duration-munchies-and-afterglow\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration, Munchies and Afterglow<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like the original, MELT NIGHT gives me an excellent afterglow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Munchies are also present, although they may be slightly less aggressive for me than with ONARIKI. I wouldn&#8217;t consider that a defining difference; appetite varies too much from day to day for me to confidently blame the vape.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The much clearer difference comes at the end of the experience: MELT NIGHT makes me want to sleep<strong>.<\/strong> The original ONARIKI transitioned beautifully into restful sleep when I used it at night, but I don&#8217;t consider sleep mandatory afterward. If I&#8217;d used ONARIKI earlier in the day, I could imagine eventually getting up, carrying on and doing something productive. MELT NIGHT? Absolutely not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This feels like an end-of-the-day vape. Once the main experience winds down, the relaxation and afterglow naturally lead me toward bed. In theory, that means you could start your day with ONARIKI and end it with MELT NIGHT. Now, I&#8217;m not suggesting you turn that into a daily itinerary. I&#8217;m just saying Knockout has apparently given us options. We like options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"who-is-onariki-melt-night-for\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who Is ONARIKI MELT NIGHT For?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Anyone who enjoyed ONARIKI but wants more body and slightly less head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 People who prefer inward, body-focused relaxation over enhanced music, visuals and external stimulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Those looking for strong touch sensitivity alongside genuine muscle relaxation and a warm, cocoon-like body high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Anyone who wants their self-care evening to end with an excellent afterglow and an extremely compelling argument for going directly to sleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u26a0\ufe0f MELT comes on surprisingly quickly for me and becomes considerably more bed-friendly as it develops. Start low, give it time, and perhaps don&#8217;t schedule anything ambitious afterward. They are clearly members of the same family, with similar overall potency, excellent touch sensitivity and the same ability to make whatever else you were planning seem considerably less important. But their journeys are different enough to matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Original ONARIKI looks outward before turning inward. It makes me want richer music, brighter sensory input and a deliberately created atmosphere before eventually settling into a warm body high. MELT NIGHT begins much closer to home. My body loosens. My mind quiets. Touch becomes more interesting. External entertainment becomes less necessary. And when everything is over, MELT NIGHT doesn&#8217;t particularly ask what we&#8217;re doing next.
