My Favorite Altnoid Stores in Japan

One of the questions I get asked the most is: “Where do you actually buy your stuff?” so I figured I’d better write a blog about the best legal altnoid shops in Japan (in my opinion, at least).

I’m mostly an online shopper since rural life in Japan doesn’t exactly offer a corner dispensary. And after plenty of trial and error, I’ve narrowed down my favorite altnoid shops in Japan that keep me stocked, soothed, and straight-up stoned.

These aren’t the only vendors out there, but they’re the ones I’ve personally ordered from recently and will happily order from again. I’m also looking forward to trying new vendors and adding to this list!

Knockout

The name says it all.

Knockout is the vendor that may have gotten into some trouble last year, but emerged stronger and more reliable than ever. They’ve had legal hiccups in the past, but the fact that they came out free and clear honestly boosts my trust in them.

Here’s why I keep going back: they’re constantly innovating, releasing new products that somehow keep leveling up in strength. The quality is consistent and top-notch, with a clear focus on premium ingredients and pure effects. The downside? The price. Knockout is one of the most expensive shops in the game, but in my opinion, the quality justifies the splurge.

My faves: CRDP Knockout Gummies and the KO Candy vape (and can’t wait to try Volcano!).

Delta Farms

Delta Farms is what I call the Rolls-Royce of altnoids. Everything about this company screams premium. They’re an American brand with years of cannabis industry experience, so when they stepped into the Japanese market, they came prepared.

Their flower is specially infused (not sprayed), their vapes come in ceramic cartridges (no cheap metal or MCT oil fillers), and the terpenes they use are chef’s kiss. Honestly, their products are the closest thing I’ve had in Japan to being back in Canada.

They also offer unique options like proprietary hash, CRDH, CBXE, and my new love: H4CBD. The vapes are smooth, flavorful, and ridiculously high quality. The flower and hash are as close to the real thing as I’ve seen on this island. And unlike a lot of vendors here who only take bank transfer, you can pay with credit card or PayPay. Convenience matters!

My faves: CBXE smoking flower blends, CRDH hash, Lemon Cherry Gelato 75% CRDH vape, and the H4CBD gummies. (Use code MaryJane for 15% off anything from Delta Farms.)

Kush JP

Kush JP is my steady, reliable pick for non-psychoactive blends, CBN in particular.

I know I’ve said I don’t really bother with DGN, but when I do, it’s CBN to help me relax and sleep. And I get it from Kush JP because they have chill and tasty blends that are perfect for maintenance or winding down. Their quality is impeccable, and their terpenes are so spot-on you’ll swear you’re hitting the real deal.

They’ve got a wide selection too: cartridges, disposable pods, wax, tools, and the occasional psychoactive blend like their D9 Skyhigh cart with 45% CRDP. I’ve heard nothing but good things about that one, but honestly? I’m here for their CBN.

My fave: CBN Gorilla: the ultimate chill-without-the-high option.

Gohoya

Budget babes, this one’s for you.

Gohoya is my affordable pick for CRDP. The products are straightforward: strong, inexpensive, and effective. There isn’t much transparency about their process, but if you’re looking for something that hits without wrecking your bank account, this is it.

The best part? You can order their website or on Amazon*. No sketchy bank transfers, no hoops to jump through. Just click, buy, receive, puff.

My fave: Strawberry Koff 60% CRDP Liquid

*Gohoya’s Amazon is currently down and will hopefully resume soon

CBD Hemp Field / Holy Hemp

When I say Holy Hemp knocked me out, I mean it. Their CRDP is among the hardest-hitting I’ve tried in Japan, and the terpene profiles are deliciously on point. The Dosi Kush flavor was fruity, piney, earthy perfection.

CBD Hemp Field feels the most like a full-service CBD shop, offering everything from gummies to massage oils. But their CRDP is the standout and definitely the star of the show.

My fave: Chill Herb Holy Hemp Dosi Kush 60% CRDP Liquid

Final Thoughts

There are tons of altnoid vendors in Japan, but these are the ones that have earned a spot in my rotation. From splurge-worthy luxury (Knockout) to budget-friendly Amazon finds (Gohoya), each one has its niche.

If you’re new to the scene, start with Kush JP or Delta Farms for quality and transparency. If you’re a seasoned vet, Knockout, Delta Farms, and Holy Hemp might be more your speed. And if your wallet is crying? Gohoya’s got you.

Either way, you’ve got options and that’s what makes Japan’s altnoid scene so much fun to follow.

And if any of these vendors (or others!) would like to collaborate, please contact me at maryjaneinjapan@gmail.com or find me on X @maryjaneinjapan.
