What are Altnoids?

Alternative cannabinoids (“altnoids”) are hemp-derived cannabinoids created by modifying CBD or other naturally occurring compounds through chemical processes. While many do not occur naturally in large amounts, they may produce effects that differ from or resemble THC.

Japan has some of the strictest cannabis laws in the world, including strict prohibitions on THC. However, Japan’s cannabinoid regulations have evolved rapidly in recent years, creating a constantly changing market of hemp-derived cannabinoid products with varying legal statuses.

Alternative cannabinoids（通称「altnoids／オルトノイド」）とは、CBDやその他の天然由来カンナビノイドを化学的に加工・変換して作られるヘンプ由来成分のことです。これらの成分の多くは自然界にはごく微量しか存在しませんが、THCに似た、あるいは異なる作用を持つ場合があります。

日本ではTHCを含む大麻関連成分に対して非常に厳しい規制があります。しかし近年、日本のカンナビノイド規制は急速に変化しており、その時々の法規制に応じたヘンプ由来カンナビノイド製品市場が形成されてきました。
