Review: WEEDYYZ King Louis XIII CBX 30%

When it comes to cannabinoids, bigger numbers don’t always mean better experiences, and you’ve heard me say that before. Because sometimes, the real magic isn’t how hard something hits, but how beautifully it hits the spot. And lately, I’ve been discovering that 30–35% CBX might just be my weekday sweet spot.

Enter WEEDYYZ King Louis XIII, a 30% CBX cartridge featuring H4CBD, CBG, and CBD, wrapped up in a sweet, citrusy, Kush-inspired terpene profile. At ¥13,000 for 1 ml, it’s certainly not the cheapest cartridge on the shelf, but after two evenings of testing, I found myself rather fond of this little fellow. Now, it’s not the most powerful CBX product I’ve tried, nor is it trying to be. Instead, King Louis XIII delivers a pleasantly cerebral, mood-lifting experience with just enough physical relaxation to round things out.

And sometimes, that’s exactly what I need.

Bottom Line

King Louis XIII offers a satisfying, predominantly cerebral experience that combines gentle relaxation, pleasant mental immersion and an uplifting mood. It’s versatile enough for creative afternoons, social evenings or simply enjoying a little peace and quiet. For me, it’s another convincing argument that 30% CBX can be plenty.

What’s Inside: King Louis XIII Breakdown

WEEDYYZ has built King Louis XIII around a 30% CBX concentration, supported by several additional cannabinoids.

  • CBX: 30%
  • H4CBD: Included; percentage undisclosed
  • CBG: Included; percentage undisclosed
  • CBD: Included; percentage undisclosed
  • Terpenes: Profile terpenes and hemp-derived terpenes
  • Flavour: Sweet hemp, citrus and herbal notes

The company emphasizes the overall balance of its formulation rather than simply chasing the highest possible cannabinoid concentration. And although WEEDYYZ doesn’t disclose the percentages of the supporting cannabinoids, I appreciate the concept of a more rounded blend. Of course, without knowing the exact proportions, it’s impossible to determine which ingredients contribute to particular sensations.

And as I’ve discovered through testing various CBX products, concentration alone rarely tells the whole story.

Taste & Terpenes: A Subtle Little Kush

King Louis XIII takes its inspiration from the famous Kush strain, and WEEDYYZ describes the flavour as sweet hemp, citrus and herbal. That said, my first impression was that the flavour was surprisingly mild.

There were delicate piney notes up front, followed by a little herbal sweetness and a subtle citrus character. A touch of spice lingered on the finish, giving the whole thing a bit more personality. But there’s nothing particularly loud or overpowering happening in here.

I tested the cartridge using my Airis battery on the blue setting, and the flavour remained pleasant throughout. If you’re expecting an enormous blast of sweet, gassy Kush, you might find it a little understated. It’s not the kind of flavour that steals the show, but it certainly doesn’t spoil the performance either.

Effects & Experience: When the World Gets a Little Quieter

I tested King Louis XIII over two consecutive evenings, beginning my first proper session with three puffs. I’d also taken a two-day tolerance break beforehand, which is worth considering when interpreting the results.

0–10 Minutes: A Gentle Release

Within the first few minutes, I noticed a pleasant loosening of tension behind my eyes, extending toward the back of my head. There wasn’t any immediate rush of euphoria or dramatic change in mental state. Instead, the sensation felt distinctly physical, almost as though something had quietly loosened its grip. Around the five-minute mark, that relaxation began spreading into my chest. Nothing especially heavy, but enough to let me know that King Louis XIII had arrived.

10–30 Minutes: Pleasant Mental Immersion

As the effects developed, the experience became increasingly cerebral. There was still some body relaxation, but the most interesting sensation was a comfortable narrowing of attention. Not quite tunnel vision, and certainly not in an unpleasant way. More like finding yourself naturally absorbed in whatever you’re doing, while everything else becomes a little less demanding.

And then came my favourite observation of the evening. The world around me was getting less noisy, literally and figuratively. Background sounds seemed less intrusive. Mental clutter softened. My attention settled comfortably into the moment without feeling completely disconnected from my surroundings. I liked that. It was a lovely kind of mental immersion, followed by a noticeable lift in mood.

Around 1 Hour: The Sweet Spot

By approximately the one-hour mark, I was enjoying the full experience. The head high was certainly more prominent than the body high, but there was enough physical relaxation to keep things comfortable. I felt content, pleasantly focused and genuinely uplifted.

What I particularly appreciated was that the experience felt satisfying without becoming excessively deep or overwhelming. I’ve previously enjoyed some other 30-35% CBX blends, and King Louis XIII reminded me of that same manageable, enjoyable territory.

1–3 Hours: Good Vibes and Kitchen Raids

The experience lasted me approximately three hours, with a smooth, gradual decline after the peak. There was no abrupt drop-off or unpleasant transition. King Louis XIII simply eased its way out as gently as it had arrived.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jane also sampled the cartridge and experienced a rather enthusiastic case of the munchies. Let’s just say the kitchen suffered significant losses. Apparently, there were snacks to be had, and Mr. Jane intended to find every last one of them. He enjoyed his experience, too, giving King Louis XIII another positive household endorsement.

The Next Day

I didn’t notice any grogginess or unpleasant lingering effects that I could specifically attribute to this cartridge. The experience faded cleanly, leaving me feeling that King Louis XIII had delivered what I wanted without overstaying its welcome.

Hardware & Presentation: One Crystallized Catch

King Louis XIII comes in a standard 1 ml, 510-thread cartridge that requires a separate compatible battery. The hardware itself was perfectly functional during my testing. Nothing particularly fancy, but no issues with the draw or general operation. And the liquid initially looked beautifully clear, which made one later development particularly noticeable: it crystallized.

Over time, visible crystalline-looking formations appeared throughout the cartridge. Cooler temperatures may have contributed, although interestingly, none of my other cartridges, including other CBX blends, had developed the same appearance. Now, crystallization itself isn’t a huge deal even if it can be a bit off-putting. It can occur in certain cannabinoid formulations, depending on their composition and storage conditions. Crystal-resistant distillate, often called CRD, is one approach manufacturers use to help reduce this tendency.

I wasn’t especially alarmed by the change, and I hadn’t experienced performance problems before or after noticing it. But it’s still something worth mentioning, particularly at this price point.

Who Is King Louis XIII For?

One of King Louis XIII’s biggest strengths is its versatility. I could easily imagine enjoying this type of experience during a creative afternoon, while socializing with friends, listening to music or winding down at home. There’s a definite sativa-like quality to the cerebral effects, but the accompanying physical relaxation prevents the experience from feeling entirely head-focused.

For me, it’s a well-rounded cartridge rather than one reserved for a particular time of day. I’d also consider it relatively approachable compared with some of the more intense cannabinoid blends I’ve experienced. That said, beginner-friendly is a relative term.

Final Thoughts: Sometimes Less Really Is More

After two evenings with WEEDYYZ King Louis XIII, I came away genuinely impressed by how enjoyable a relatively moderate CBX concentration can feel. The flavour is subtle rather than spectacular, and the cartridge’s crystallization deserves a mention. But the experience itself? Lovely.

I particularly appreciated the gradual transition from gentle physical relaxation to pleasant cerebral immersion, followed by that wonderfully content, uplifted feeling. And perhaps most importantly, it reminded me that there’s no single ideal cannabinoid concentration for every occasion. I mean, there are certainly evenings when I enjoy something with a little more oomph, whether that’s a stronger CBX formulation or a different cannabinoid blend altogether. But for everyday enjoyment, 30–35% CBX is becoming a personal favourite percentage in the right blend.

King Louis XIII delivers a satisfying head high, manageable physical effects and enough versatility to fit a variety of moods and settings. And while it may have a royal name, thankfully, it doesn’t demand the royal treatment. Just a comfortable seat, something good to listen to, and perhaps a snack or ten.
