Life Update: Travel, News & the Products Keeping Me Cozy This Month

It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Between work deadlines, daycare, life admin, and the ongoing quest to stay cute, balanced and a little baked… your girl has been busy. Like, properly busy. But it’s time for a dose of Mary Jane in Japan favorites for the month.

The kind of busy where you finish a full day of work, sink into the couch like a melted gummy, and think, “Wow, I really earned this vape hit.” And then take three. Because, you know, work/life balance and all that.

Which brings us to the fun part: fall has turned into a mini travel season for me: Tokyo last month, Osaka coming up soon… and I’ve been testing, exploring, and snacking my way through Japan’s altnoid scene like a tiny, highly motivated tour guide.

So, let’s catch up.

My Quick Trip to Tokyo

Tokyo always recharges me in a way no cannabinoid technically can (though some come close). I hit a few shops this round, and here’s the honest tea: CBD Hills in Shinjuku was the standout.

Not overwhelming, no hype — just the strongest selection I found, including Knockout products that haven’t even hit other shelves yet. Prices (COSPA) were the best, too, which always helps because Mary Jane math says saving money means spending it on more treats.

I’ll definitely go back next trip, especially as the altnoid landscape keeps shifting and some shops are staying extra cautious. CBD Hills still felt confident, curated, and stocked.

Osaka Next!

Next stop for me is Osaka, one of my favorite cities to walk around baked because everything feels like a neon theme park made specifically for my brain. I’ve already got a loose plan to shop, snack, wander, and find a cozy spot to test the newest vape carts I’m bringing along.

Expect a full Osaka roundup soon (and probably a few impulsive snack reviews because I lose all self-control at konbini).

Uncertainty Around CBN in Japan & Hemp Derived Ingredients Beyond: Full Post Coming

With everything swirling around CBN lately over here and bans in the USA that will be sure to affect us in Japan (regulation chatter, shop rumors, bans here, bans abroad, panic, and misinformation)… I’m keeping a close eye on things.

Rather than rush a post, I want to give you a full, properly researched breakdown — what’s safe, what’s not, what’s hype, what’s real, and what it means for Japan’s altnoid scene.

A whole separate deep-dive is coming very soon. I got you.

Mary Jane in Japan’s Favorite Things Right Now

Yes, I’m borrowing Oprah’s format… but imagine if Oprah was half-Japanese, lived in the countryside, smoked legal but gray area cannabinoids, and wrote a blog for folks trying to stay compliant, informed and lightly toasted.

Let’s get into the current lineup.

1. Gohoya’s CPX × H4CBH

This one has been the top dog in my rotation all month. Just like I reviewed, it’s smooth, strong, and reliable — like the cannabinoid equivalent of a heated kotatsu table in mid-November. Yes, tolerance builds but it still manages to come through and get me baked without fail every time I hit it.

Tastes like: sweet and mellow
Feels like: stress leaving your body one polite bow at a time
Perfect for: unwinding after work, writing, or reorganizing your cleaning supplies at 11 p.m. because suddenly that feels urgent

Get it: GOHOYA CPX X H4CBH

2. Knockout’s New Hybrid Herb (HHBD × H4CBH)

Okay, the science-y stuff on Knockout’s site isn’t wrong: this hybrid really is the perfect balance.

You get that light, bright HHBD head-lift that gently clears the mental fog without launching you to the moon, paired with the cozy, weighted H4CBH body melt.

The blend feels intentional, easy, and surprisingly smooth to manage. No weird spikes, no confusion, no sudden “why am I reorganizing the pantry?” chaos (just a little digging into the pantry like a hungry raccoon later… you know how it goes).

The scent: Sunset Sherbet — creamy, fruity, milky goodness
The vibe: quick buzz → warm comfort → soft landing
Good for: low-key creative sessions, Netflix evenings, post-bath bliss, being cute at home

Honestly? It’s one of the most beginner-friendly Mary Jane in Japan favorites alt herbs I’ve tried lately.

Get it: Knockout Joint / Knockout Loose Herb

3. My Favorite Vape Pens (Amazon Find!)

You know Mary Jane loves a cute, reliable pen — especially when I can link it for you.

Here’s the model on my Mary Jane in Japan favorites personal wish list:
👉 KUSH JP Ballpoint Pen Battery

Why? Just because I’m a writer and can’t get over how perfectly discreet it is.

Here’s the model that’s everyone’s basic, cheap and easy beginner pen:
👉 AIRIS V.2 Quasar Battery

Why? It’s practically the industry standard.

Here’s the model for someone who wants something a little fancy:
👉 KUSH JP Doteco Dual Cartridge Battery

Why? Because two cartridges are better than one. Mix and match your favorite cartridges to maximize the entourage effect with your own combos.

Wrapping Up

So that’s a little snapshot of my life lately: working hard, traveling a bit, smoking responsibly (and sometimes irresponsibly), trying new things, and keeping my ear to the altnoid ground.
