Review: TEMP Green Crack Herb

TEMP’s Green Crack Herb somehow turned a simple evening walk through the rice paddies into one of those oddly perfect golden-hour memories you wish you could keep forever.

Mr. Jane and I shared a 0.5g joint as the sun started to set, and on the first few pulls, it hit my brain right away, and I knew this one was special.

First Impressions: Bright, Citrusy & Surprisingly Realistic

Let’s talk smell and texture first, because this is where a lot of herb-style products completely lose me. TEMP’s Green Crack Herb didn’t.

Like the Northern Lights blend, this doesn’t smell fake or perfumey. It’s also not aggressively trying to cosplay as the real thing either. Instead, it lands in that surprisingly believable middle ground where you immediately think: “Oh… okay. This is actually kind of legit.”

Texture-wise, it’s genuinely nice to work with. Light, fluffy, and just a tiny bit sticky—the ideal consistency for rolling. No crunchy dry dust. No weird chemical dampness. I enjoyed some nice soft, easy herb that burned beautifully.

And once lit? That Green Crack terpene profile absolutely wakes up. The citrus really comes through while smoking. It’s bright, zesty, slightly tropical, with subtle herbal notes underneath. It’s fresher and sharper than the Northern Lights blend and immediately gives more energetic “daytime strain” vibes.

The smell still isn’t overpoweringly loud like the real thing… but it’s definitely there enough that you should still be careful where you smoke it.

What Makes TEMP’s Herb Different

TEMP isn’t just spraying cannabinoids onto random herbs and calling it a day. What makes these blends interesting is how much thought actually goes into the base itself.

The herb mix uses ingredients like raspberry leaf, damiana, and lemon myrtle, selected not only for flavor, but for the way their natural terpenes and flavonoids contribute to the overall experience. I think you can feel that.

There’s also a more involved infusion process happening here. Instead of simply coating the outside of the herb, cannabinoids are worked deep into the plant material using heat and pressure before being sealed and allowed to rest so the terpenes can reabsorb naturally.

In practice, this translates into:

👉 smoother smoke
👉 more even burning
👉 effects that feel integrated instead of “sprayed on”

And the overall smoking experience genuinely feels more refined because of it.

The Smoking Experience

We took about 10 minutes or so to smoke the joint while wandering through the rice paddies near sunset. Heavenly. There’s just something deeply satisfying about the slow ritual of smoking a joint while the sky turns gold around you. That said… I definitely don’t recommend casually walking around smoking unless you’re somewhere extremely secluded. But if you are? This blend pairs absurdly well with nature.

The onset came on fast—before we’d even finished the joint. By the time the sun hit full golden hour, everything looked extra rich and vibrant. Colors popped. The fields glowed. Our moods lifted instantly. Was it the sun? The smoke?

By the time we got home, we somehow ended up having a tiny spontaneous dance party in the kitchen before collapsing onto the couch laughing.

All in all? Excellent evening.

Effects: A Happy, Energetic Sativa Lean

This one is very clearly the more energetic sibling in TEMP’s lineup. Where Northern Lights slowly pulls you downward into the couch, Green Crack lifts you upward first.

The HHBD is absolutely the loudmouth here. You feel it quickly—bright mood boost, mental energy, physical lightness, enhanced colors, easy smiles. It creates that happy “go go go” feeling without becoming overwhelming or jittery.

Meanwhile, the H4CBH hangs quietly underneath it all. It’s just enough to smooth everything out and stop the experience from becoming too sharp or anxious. Truth be told, the addition of the H4CBH makes me prefer this over TEMP’s full sativa option, Jack Herer which is still awesome, but only contains HHBD in terms of psychoactive ‘noids.

The best comparison I can think of? The HHBD is the lead singer. The H4CBH is the bassist you barely notice… until you realize the entire stone, errr… song would feel empty without them.

The Aftermath

Effects lasted around 2.5 hours for me before easing gently downward. No crash or sudden exhaustion. I did have an increasingly intense case of the munchies, though.

And while this definitely didn’t knock me out or make me sleepy, it also didn’t leave me wired afterward either. By bedtime, I still felt relaxed enough for a solid sleep later on.

Strength & Who This Is For

Let’s be honest—dry herb usually won’t hit quite as hard as liquid. But TEMP’s blends come surprisingly close.

With:

  • HHBD 450mg / 5g
  • H4CBH 250mg / 5g

…this leans heavily into a fast, uplifting experience while still maintaining enough hybrid balance to feel smooth and natural.

If Northern Lights felt like: “cancel your plans,” this feels more like: “let’s go on an adventure!” And when I want something even more pure-sativa and energetic with a quicker comedown? Their Jack Herer HHBD Herb does fill a perfect spot, there.

Of the three TEMP herbs I tried, Northern Lights (now replaced by Granddaddy Purple) was still my personal favorite—but that’s mostly because I naturally gravitate toward indicas.

But objectively speaking? This is a really beautiful sativa-leaning hybrid.

Final Thoughts & Where to Buy

TEMP’s Green Crack Herb feels bright, social, uplifting, and surprisingly polished. It captures a lot of the ritual and sensory satisfaction people miss about smoking flower, while still feeling distinct in its own way.

My personal rating landed around a 3.5/5, while Mr. Jane enthusiastically gave it a 4.5/5, so honestly… a solid 4/5 overall feels fair.

It’s energizing without becoming chaotic. Relaxing without becoming sleepy. And it absolutely shines in the right setting—especially outdoors, during sunset, with nowhere urgent to be.

It’s available in a few formats depending on your preference:

  • Loose herb (3.5g can or 5g refill pouch)
  • Pre-rolls (approx. 0.5g each) if you’d rather skip straight to the fun part

💰 Price:

  • Around ¥2,100 – ¥10,800 (tax included) depending on size and format

And yes—it’s ready to roll beautifully right out of the package. (Worth mentioning: I smoke my joints without tobacco, so this review reflects herb-only use.)
