Mini Review: Knockout – Black Hole Supermassive

Knockout’s Deepest Dive Yet

I didn’t think Knockout could top Gravity. Then BLACK HOLE SUPERMASSIVE happened.

Full disclosure: I never tried the original BLACK HOLE, so I can’t compare the two directly. But if SUPERMASSIVE is meant to be the “ultra-massive” evolution of that concept, then holy hell. This thing feels enormous.

Saturday night in rural Japan usually goes one of two ways for me: Either I convince myself I’m going to stay productive and “just relax a little”…

…or I accidentally disappear into the couch for three hours listening to records and staring into space. BLACK HOLE SUPERMASSIVE absolutely belongs in the second category.

By the time the house was quiet, and I finally got a moment to myself, BLACK HOLE SUPERMASSIVE was exactly the kind of deep exhale I was looking for. The high builds slowly at first, then suddenly the room softens around you. Music sounds fuller. Your body gets heavier. Thoughts quiet down. Time stretches. The farther you go, the less you want to move.

Not because you can’t. But because getting up no longer feels remotely appealing. Needless to say, time completely lost all meaning after that, so forget a proper “30 minutes later…” style breakdown.

Flavor: Dubai Chocolate Works Shockingly Well

I knew Knockout could probably pull off a decent chocolate flavor, but this was way deeper and richer than I expected.

The flavor is rich roasted cacao with a warm nutty depth underneath it—more dark chocolate truffle than candy bar. The inhale has a deep, bittersweet cocoa flavor, while the exhale leaves a lingering chocolate aroma that somehow makes the entire experience feel even heavier and more atmospheric.

It fits the vibe perfectly: Late-night lighting. Slow music. Rain outside. Blanket on. Phone face down somewhere in another dimension. Even the terpene profile feels intentionally designed around immersion. Knockout mentions β-caryophyllene, myrcene, linalool, humulene, and a small amount of pinene. That grounding, body-heavy warmth absolutely comes through in the experience thanks to the entourage of all of those.

This feels less like casually hitting a vape and more like deliberately setting the mood for the rest of your evening. Even the aroma itself feels relaxing.

The Experience: Heavy Gravity

The onset is surprisingly smooth and gradual. There’s very little harshness or immediate punch, especially compared to some stronger H4CBD-heavy blends that tend to make me cough a bit. The first few pulls actually felt deceptively gentle. Then slowly, almost sneakily, the gravity started kicking in.

Shoulders loosened. Legs got heavy. The couch suddenly became the best idea anyone has ever had. At some point between flipping records and reaching for popcorn, I realized I had fully entered that magical state where moving technically remains possible… but absolutely no part of your brain is interested in doing so.

BLACK HOLE SUPERMASSIVE absolutely has euphoria—just not the frantic, chaotic kind. This is rich, immersive, full-body bliss. The HHBD gives the experience a soft mental glow early on, while the H4CBH and H4CBD slowly pull everything deeper and deeper into heavy physical relaxation. The CBD smooths the whole thing out into this dense, warm, immersive melt that somehow never feels overwhelming or messy.

Gravity already impressed me with how well it quieted racing thoughts, but BLACK HOLE SUPERMASSIVE feels even deeper and heavier, with less mental float, and more full-body gravitational pull.

Instead of hitting all at once, the gravity gradually increases until you suddenly realize:

“Oh. I’m not going anywhere for a while. Not even to the fridge.” So yeah. Plan your snacks accordingly and park them nearby.

The Most Impressive Part? No CBN.

This almost shocked me. BLACK HOLE SUPERMASSIVE creates an intensely heavy, sinking body experience without relying on CBN at all. That’s a big deal right now. With Japan’s upcoming cannabinoid changes, a lot of people have been wondering whether these deeply relaxing, body-heavy experiences would still exist moving forward. This thing answered that question immediately.

The H4CBD is clearly doing some serious lifting here alongside the H4CBH, creating that signature “melt into the furniture” feeling without the sleepy fog some heavy CBN products can sometimes bring. It doesn’t feel sedating in a “goodnight immediately” kind of way.

It feels gravitational. Like the room itself is slowly pulling you deeper into it.

Not a Party Cart — A Ritual Cart

This is not a daytime productivity vape.

Save this for a night when you’ve got:

  • headphones on
  • lights low
  • favorite album queued up
  • snacks within arm’s reach
  • nowhere important to be

I love that Knockout fully committed to the concept here. The branding, flavor, effects, and atmosphere all feel cohesive in a way a lot of products don’t.

The name sounds dramatic until you actually try it. But I’m impressed.

Final Thoughts

At some point, I stopped reviewing BLACK HOLE SUPERMASSIVE and just… sank into it.

That probably tells you everything you need to know.

In case you were wondering how we’ll do in Japan without CBN, well… if this is any indication, we’re going to be just fine.

So stay lifted, legally 🍃
