Review: Knockout Punch Drunker 3.0

I got to try the newest liquid from tried, tested and true heavy-hitters, Knockout. I had to do a Punch Drunker 3.0 review because right off the hop, the name sounds like you’re about to get absolutely wrecked, right? Like you’ll be seeing cartoon stars and trying to remember where you parked your bicycle.

Plot twist: it’s actually the exact opposite.

Punch Drunker 3.0 won’t ruin your Tuesday. It’s actually going to make your Tuesday even better while you still live your life. Run your errands (don’t drive, though), text people back, grab lunch with the in-laws, heck, you might even remember what day it is.

But let’s take it back a minute. The whole Punch Drunker lineage has been a journey, starting with Version 1.0. This was a wild HHCH vape (omg, remember HHCH? What a weird, wonderful time). Then 2.0 went the H4CBH route. And now 3.0 feels like Knockout finally asked themselves: what if we made something people could actually use during the day without regretting it?

Mission accomplished.

So What’s Actually In This Thing?

The blend here is HHBD + CBD. That’s it. No heavy-duty stuff that’s going to pin you to the couch or quietly sabotage your ability to do anything productive. The whole vibe here is balance over chaos.

You’re not completely stoned. You’re certainly not sober either. You’re just… nicely recalibrated. Like someone turned down the volume on all the annoying stuff by about 20%. At least this is how it panned out for me, but admittedly, I’m a heavy hitter with very little tolerance left. The fact that I could still get a buzz means that a beginner, or someone with lower tolerance will definitely feel “punch drunk.”

The Vibe Check (Let Me Explain With Beverages)

If you’ve tried other, similar Knockout stuff, here’s how Punch Drunker 3.0 compares:

Overdrive Booster (CPX + DGN) is like a double espresso. Fast, intense, “I’m going to deep-clean my kitchen and then learn Italian.”

Daylight Vibes is ceremonial matcha. Focused, uplifted, a little zen. Still got things to do, but you’re chill about it.

Punch Drunker 3.0 is a margarita with lunch. Relaxed, social, a little floaty, but you can still hold a conversation and remember people’s names.

It doesn’t push you anywhere. It just makes wherever you already are feel a bit softer around the edges, like a rose-tinted filter. You can be productive if that’s your vibe. Or you can just exist, listen to music, chat with friends, wander around outside feeling lighter than usual. All totally valid options.

The Timing Thing (This Matters More Than You’d Think)

One of my favorite things about Punch Drunker 3.0 is how clean the whole experience is time-wise.

It comes on fast. Like, you’re not sitting there 20 minutes later going “is this even working?” The peak is gentle. No sudden “oh whoa okay we’re doing this now.” And the duration? About 90 minutes to two hours, before it’s gone. No weird foggy tail. No “why do I still feel like this at 9pm when I hit this at 2pm?”

It shows up, does its thing, and politely sees itself out.

Which makes it perfect for:

  • Daytime adventures
  • Travel (especially if you’re in Japan and want something chill but functional)
  • Social situations where you want to take the edge off without becoming That Person
  • Anyone who doesn’t want to commit to being baked for the entire afternoon

The Microdose Sweet Spot (Especially If You’re Canadian, Apparently 🇨🇦)

We Canadians love a good microdose. That little buzz that makes the day rosier without turning your brain into oatmeal.

That’s Punch Drunker 3.0 in a nutshell.

It’s the altnoid version of “I want to feel something, but I also have a dentist appointment in three hours.”

What you get:

  • Light euphoria (the good kind, not the “am I okay?” kind)
  • Everything feels a bit easier
  • Your mood gets a subtle boost
  • Zero urge to lie down and have an existential crisis

Flavor Lineup

Punch Drunker 3.0 comes in three options, each with its own little personality:

🍋 Lisbon Lemon (Sativa)
Bright and fresh, perfect for daytime stuff. Ideal for walks, running errands, or just existing in a pleasant way.

🍓 Tutti Frutti (Hybrid) (this is the one I tried)
The crowd-pleaser. Balanced, cheerful, easygoing. If you’re not sure which one to get, this is probably your answer.

🍇 Purple Grape (Indica)
Mellow without being heavy. Good for winding down, but not in a “goodnight forever” kind of way.

I tried Tutti Frutti and it’s a tasty, fruity, unoffensive little vape. Uplifting if you want it to be, or relaxing. It’s there but it isn’t overwhelming.

The Tolerance Thing (Actually Kind of Important)

Here’s something I really appreciate: HHBD doesn’t seem to build tolerance the way H4CBH does.

The trade-off? If you’re more experienced, you might go through this faster than other products because you’ll need to hit it more frequently to stay in that sweet spot. But honestly, for what it is, I’ll take that over tolerance buildup any day. It’s nice to have a solid daily-driver.

Who’s This For?

Perfect if you are:

  • New to altnoids and don’t want to accidentally have a whole ass or unpleasant experience
  • Visiting Japan and want something chill that won’t derail your sightseeing plans
  • Lower tolerance in general
  • Curious but cautious (smart)
  • A fan of daytime buzzes that don’t interfere with living your actual life

If you’re an expert:
Look, it’s not going to blow your mind. It’s not trying to. Think of this as a driver vape, not a destination vape.

The Price / Where to Buy

At ¥12,000, it’s pretty reasonable for what you’re getting. Especially considering how versatile and approachable it is.

You might also find it at select CBD/Altnoid stores like CBD Hills in Tokyo and Cannabis Club in Osaka.

Final Thoughts

Punch Drunker 3.0 is social and friendly. And it’s probably the easiest altnoid vape to recommend without having to give someone a 15-minute disclaimer first. If you’ve ever thought “I want a good buzz, not a journey“… yeah, this is your vape.
