Review: Regal Dojo CBX

Just when it feels like you’ve wrapped your head around one new altnoid ingredient, another acronym appears and everyone wants to know what it’s actually like.

Enter my Regal Dojo CBX Review!

Needless to say, after publishing my explainer on what CBX is, I was eager for some real-world experience. So rather than basing this review on a single afternoon, I spent several sessions getting to know Regal Dojo’s CBX cartridge in different settings—from a quiet evening at home to a relaxed day wandering around town. The result wasn’t just a first impression, but a much clearer picture of where this formulation shines, where it falls a little short, and perhaps most importantly, the kind of person I think will appreciate it most.

Bottom Line: Regal Dojo’s CBX surprised me because of the kind of experience it created. Rather than blasting my brain into orbit, it encouraged me to slow down, quiet my internal monologue, and simply enjoy whatever I happened to be doing. If you’re looking for an unhurried, head-focused daytime vape that feels more like a leisurely wander than an adrenaline rush, this one deserves a look.

What’s Inside: Regal Dojo CBX Green Apple OG

Unlike many of today’s increasingly complex cannabinoid blends, Regal Dojo keeps things refreshingly simple.

  • CBX: 42%
  • CBD
  • CBG
  • Cannabis-Derived Terpenes (CDTs)
  • Profile Terpenes

Rather than stacking half a dozen cannabinoids together, Regal Dojo lets CBX take centre stage, making it easier to get a feel for the ingredient itself. Of course, it’s still worth remembering that this review reflects Regal Dojo’s specific formulation, not necessarily CBX as an ingredient across the entire market.

Taste & Terpenes

I’ll happily admit when I’m wrong.

When I first saw Green Apple OG, I wasn’t excited. Artificial green apple candy is one of my least favourite flavours, so I was fully expecting it to taste gross. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case at all.

The aroma is unmistakably green apple, but the flavour itself is much softer and far more natural. Instead of tasting like a bag of sour candy, it reminded me of apple juice with a subtle hint of vanilla on the exhale. What impressed me most was the finish. As the fruit fades, a natural hemp note comes through that gives the vape an authenticity I suspect comes from the cannabis-derived terpenes. It’s a small detail, but one that earned bonus points from me.

Hardware & Presentation

I tested the cartridge using my trusty Airis 510-thread battery set to 3.7V, and the hardware performed flawlessly. The full-glass atomizer immediately gives the cartridge a more premium feel than many standard alternatives, and during testing I didn’t experience any clogging, leaking, burnt hits, or airflow issues whatsoever.

Regal Dojo also deserves credit for presentation. Inside the plain white box is a detailed instruction leaflet covering storage, troubleshooting, leak prevention, crystallization, and general safety advice. It might sound like a small thing, but thoughtful touches like this inspire confidence—especially when trying a newer cannabinoid.

Regal Dojo CBX Review: Effects & Experience

0–10 Minutes

CBX gets to work fairly quickly.

Within around five minutes I noticed the first signs settling in behind my eyes, followed by a gentle sense of mental relaxation over the next several minutes. The onset never felt abrupt or overwhelming. Instead, it eased in smoothly, allowing me to notice the effects building rather than suddenly arriving all at once.

Even at this early stage, one thing became immediately apparent: this was going to be a predominantly head-focused experience.

There was very little happening physically, but mentally I could already feel myself beginning to loosen up. Conversation became easier, my mood lifted, and I found myself naturally wanting to chat rather than quietly sit with my thoughts.

10–30 Minutes

This is where CBX really began revealing its personality: conversation became effortless.

I found myself noticeably chattier than usual, with just enough of my usual mental filter softened that chatting simply flowed. At the same time, my internal monologue became remarkably quiet.

One of the biggest surprises was how effectively CBX quieted my internal monologue. I can’t say how everyone will experience it, but I found it much easier to stop overthinking and simply enjoy the moment—something I don’t often find with more sativa-leaning products. It was also very easy to get lost in whatever I was doing: doom-scrolling, wandering, gaming, etc.

At the same time, I also began noticing a mild absent-mindedness. More than once I lost my train of thought halfway through a sentence or caught myself wondering whether I’d forgotten something. It never became stressful or unpleasant, but it was definitely part of the overall experience and something worth keeping in mind if you’ve got a long mental checklist to work through.

30 Minutes and Beyond

By the half-hour mark, CBX had reached what felt like its comfortable cruising altitude.

The experience remained overwhelmingly cerebral, with the effects sitting mostly behind my eyes and between my ears rather than throughout my body. If you’re looking for a heavy couch-lock sensation or pronounced physical relief, this probably isn’t the cartridge that’ll get you there.

That said, I did begin noticing a subtle physical relaxation the longer the experience continued. It wasn’t a traditional body high so much as a gentle feeling of mentally unclenching and feeling the physical sensations follow. My shoulders relaxed, walking felt a little moving through jelly, and my body seemed content to match the slower pace my mind had already settled into.

Interestingly, my husband had quite a different experience. He reported noticeably more physical relaxation than I did, particularly in his lower back. It’s a good reminder that cannabinoids can affect people very differently, even when using the exact same product.

2–3 Hours And Beyond: A Gentle Landing

Munchies were modest. I found myself happily enjoying an ice cream cone one evening (ok, it was midnight), but this didn’t have me raiding the kitchen. Cotton mouth, however, was fairly consistent throughout testing, so keeping a drink nearby is a good idea.

Something I appreciated was how naturally everything tapered off. There was no sudden crash, and no urge to immediately reach for another puff. Instead, the effects gradually softened over the course of 3-4 hours with some lingering floatiness lasting well into the next morning.

Even toward the end of the experience, the quieter headspace remained. I still felt relaxed and present, but perfectly capable of getting on with the rest of my evening if I needed to.

The Next Morning

There was a little lingering floatiness as I mentioned before, but no grogginess or heaviness, and no real mental fog. After a good night’s sleep, I woke up feeling clear-headed and ready to get on with the day.

Considering how mentally calming I found the experience, I half expected it to keep me awake despite its more sativa-leaning personality. Instead, I was ready for bed around my usual time and slept well. I suspect that quieter mental chatter probably played a role in that.

The Personality of the High

I noticed I enjoyed it most whenever I had nowhere in particular to be. Wandering with a coffee, browsing shops, taking a relaxed walk, or following whatever happened to catch my attention suited it far better than tackling errands or working through a long mental checklist.

The best way I can describe it is that it feels like doing sativa activities with a slightly indica state of mind: awake, engaged, and curious, but perfectly happy to let the day unfold rather than trying to squeeze every last minute out of it. In fact, don’t be surprised if you lose track of time altogether. Hours will melt effortlessly into each other so yeah, don’t use this if you’ve got somewhere important to be (like work or your kid’s daycare pick-up).

How Does CBX Compare to THAH?

THAH felt more immersive, more THC-adjacent, and more powerful overall, with the giggles, munchies, and stronger progression that many people associate with cannabis.

CBX felt lighter, more social, and distinctly like its own cannabinoid.

Neither is better—they simply scratch different itches.

Who Is Regal Dojo’s CBX For?

✅ People looking to quiet a busy mind.

✅ Coffee shop afternoons and slow walks.

✅ Relaxed conversations.

✅ Browsing bookstores, record stores, or parks.

✅ Anyone wanting a predominantly head-focused daytime experience.

It may be less ideal if you’re looking for:

  • Strong body relaxation or pain relief.
  • Heavy couch lock.
  • A convincing THC substitute.
  • A vape before tackling a long mental to-do list or complicated errands.

As always, start with one or two small puffs and give the effects time to build before deciding whether you need more.

How to Buy

At the time of writing, Regal Dojo CBX Green Apple OG is available directly through Regal Dojo’s official online store. As with many newer cannabinoid products in Japan, availability can change quickly depending on demand, so if it’s temporarily out of stock, it’s worth checking back rather than assuming it’s gone for good.

Available Sizes & Pricing

  • 1.0ml Cartridge: ¥11,000

Both cartridges use a standard 510-thread connection and are compatible with most 510-thread vape batteries.

As always, pricing, formulations, and availability may change over time, so be sure to check the official product page for the latest information.

Final Thoughts

Regal Dojo’s CBX consistently quieted my thoughts and made it easier to be present. For a couple of hours, my usual stream of planning, analysing, and replaying conversations stepped aside, leaving me free to enjoy whatever I happened to be doing. As someone whose brain rarely stops running, that ended up being one of my favourite parts of the entire experience.

It won’t replace products I reach for when I’m specifically looking for deep body relaxation or THC-like effects. But if your brain constantly feels like it’s running a marathon, CBX offers something I found surprisingly valuable: a chance to slow the pace without bringing the day to a halt.

Sometimes, that’s exactly the legal lift you didn’t realize you needed. 🍃
