Review: Verdant MANGO SHERBET 35% CBX

Sometimes reviewing cannabinoids teaches me something about a product. And then sometimes it teaches me something about cannabinoids themselves.

After previously trying Verdant’s much stronger 60% CBX Candy Watermelon, I already knew CBX was an interesting little beast. It could make me intensely absorbed in whatever I was doing, but at that concentration, “focused” could occasionally become too focused. My brain didn’t necessarily feel more high. It felt deeper.

So when Verdant sent me MANGO SHERBET, a hybrid blend built around 35% CBX, I was particularly curious. Would cutting the CBX almost in half simply make the experience weaker? After two remarkably consistent sessions, my answer is no. In fact, I think I just found my CBX sweet spot.

Bottom Line: MANGO SHERBET gave me a long, predominantly cerebral buzz that made conversation, videos and creative wandering wonderfully absorbing without pinning my brain to one particular thought. For me, 35% CBX delivers the depth I enjoy from CBX while leaving enough room to actually enjoy being high. Also, apparently CBX turns me into a feral raccoon with unrestricted kitchen access. Plan snacks accordingly.

What’s Inside: MANGO SHERBET Breakdown

MANGO SHERBET uses 35% CBX as its base, layered with H4CBD, H4CBH and HHBD to create a hybrid formula. What interested me most, though, was that 35% figure.

I’d previously tried CBX at 60%, and going into this review I assumed 35% would essentially be a milder version of the same experience. Instead, it helped me understand that with CBX, at least for me, stronger and deeper aren’t necessarily the same thing.

At 60%, CBX could pull me extremely deeply into my own attention. Whatever my brain latched onto became the thing. That could be wonderfully immersive, but if my mind landed somewhere anxious or uncomfortable, all that focus wasn’t necessarily welcome. At 35%, I still felt absorbed, but I could move that attention around. Sixty percent made it easy to get lost in one thing. Thirty-five percent made lots of things easier to get lost in, and I could choose which one.

Oddly enough, that sometimes made 35% feel more like being high. At 60%, I could become so absorbed in something that I almost missed the high itself. Thirty-five percent gave me more room to enjoy what was happening rather than simply disappearing into it.

Taste & Smoothness

The flavour is mild, pleasant and relatively understated. MANGO SHERBET doesn’t wallop you over the head with artificial mango sweetness. Interestingly, I enjoyed the aroma afterward even more than the flavour while vaping. That’s where the creamy sherbet quality really came through for me, and the lingering smell was downright divine.

The liquid itself is quite thick, but both of my sessions were exceptionally smooth. It was easy to inhale and produced no coughing at all for me. That smoothness also makes the delayed onset worth mentioning because this is not necessarily a vape that immediately announces what it has planned for you.

Effects & Experience

0–15 Minutes: Don’t Get Impatient

There was no immediate blast-off in either session. For me, MANGO SHERBET consistently needed roughly 10 to 15 minutes before I really started noticing it, which makes this one I’d be particularly cautious about stacking too quickly. Give it time, because somewhere around that 10-to-15-minute mark, Mango Sherbet quietly strolls into the room.

15–30 Minutes: The Buzz Builds

From there, the experience gradually developed into a pleasant, predominantly cerebral sensation. By around 30 minutes, I felt fully there.

What I particularly enjoyed was how naturally I could direct the experience. I could get absorbed in conversation, scroll through things on my phone, watch videos or follow a creative thought wherever it wanted to go. There was focus, but not the tunnel vision I’d experienced with higher-concentration CBX. It felt immersive without feeling restrictive.

60–90 Minutes: Peak CBX and the Raccoon Emerges

Both sessions followed a very similar timeline, with the experience seeming to peak somewhere around 60 to 90 minutes. This was a genuinely excellent buzz for me: cerebral, immersive, creative and satisfyingly high without becoming mentally claustrophobic.

And then came the munchies. Good lord, CBX gives me the munchies. During my second session, somewhere around this peak window, I decimated a bag of popcorn, moved on to ice cream and then continued digging up miscellaneous nibbles like the feral raccoon I apparently become when left alone with CBX and access to a kitchen. Munchies: five stars. Stock (or hide) your snacks accordingly.

2–3.5 Hours: A Very Gentle Landing

One thing I really appreciated about MANGO SHERBET was how gradually it left. There wasn’t a dramatic moment when I suddenly felt sober. The main high slowly softened while a pleasant background buzz hung around, and at roughly three and a half hours, I could still detect that gentle lingering effect even though I was clearly well into the comedown.

For something that took its time arriving, MANGO SHERBET certainly wasn’t in a hurry to leave.

The Next Day

The morning after my second session was notable mostly because there wasn’t much to report. I woke up clear-headed and feeling good. Most importantly for my own experience with stronger CBX, I didn’t wake up with any lingering anxious or overly fixated thoughts. I was a little tired until my coffee kicked in, but I’m hesitant to blame MANGO SHERBET for something that could also accurately be described as Mary Jane experiencing morning. For me, there was no obvious cannabinoid hangover.

35% vs. 60% CBX: Stronger Isn’t Always Better

This is ultimately what made MANGO SHERBET interesting enough that I would happily return to it. I don’t think 35% CBX necessarily feels dramatically “weaker” than 60%. It feels less deep, and that’s an important distinction.

At higher concentrations, CBX can make my attention feel almost magnetized. Thirty-five percent still gives me that wonderful ability to become immersed in something, but there’s more space around the experience. I can notice the high, enjoy it and move between activities instead of disappearing down whichever mental rabbit hole happens to open first.

Thirty-five percent gave me the CBX experience I wanted without my brain taking home extra homework. And for me, that’s better.

Hardware & Presentation

Verdant absolutely nails the first impression. The dark packaging and wolf branding feel polished and premium, while the bright yellow cartridge gives the whole thing a fun, poppy personality.

The oil itself is thick and substantial-looking, and the cartridge feels surprisingly generous in the hand. Everything about the presentation reads higher-end, from the packaging to the hardware.

And yes, there is a free sticker. We love a free sticker.

Who Is Verdant MANGO SHERBET For?

I think MANGO SHERBET makes the most sense for people who enjoy a predominantly cerebral and immersive buzz, particularly anyone who likes getting absorbed in conversation, videos, creative projects or whatever happens to catch their attention. It may also be an interesting option for experienced cannabinoid users who are curious about CBX but don’t necessarily want to jump directly into very high concentrations.

I would, however, respect the delayed onset. My effects consistently took around 10 to 15 minutes to become obvious, so the smooth inhale and quiet first few minutes shouldn’t be mistaken for a lack of effect. Starting conservatively and allowing the experience time to develop makes much more sense than impatiently stacking puff after puff.

And if you’re anything like me, perhaps make sure there is popcorn in the house first.

Final Thoughts

Verdant’s MANGO SHERBET surprised me because I expected 35% CBX to feel like a toned-down version of 60%. Instead, it felt better balanced. I got the cerebral immersion that makes CBX interesting to me, but without feeling swallowed by my own attention.

Conversation became more engaging, videos became more absorbing and creative thoughts were fun to follow. The high lasted for hours, faded beautifully and left me feeling clear the following morning. After two sessions with remarkably similar timelines, I’m increasingly convinced that around 35% CBX may be my personal Goldilocks zone.

Sixty percent takes me deeper. Thirty-five percent keeps me floating. And sometimes floating is exactly where Mary Jane wants to be. 🍃
