Sometimes the complaint is also the compliment.

KO MELLOW is Knockout’s lighter, beginner-friendly disposable vape, containing just 5% HHBD in a 0.3 ml device. It comes in two versions: CBD Relax, intended as the more laid-back option for evenings and unwinding, and CBG Refresh, positioned as the brighter daytime option for work breaks and a change of pace.

I tried the CBD Relax version, so all of the effects and scores in this review refer specifically to that one. And you know what? I really like this little thing.

But when I say little, I mean little.

Knockout’s MELLOW – Mini Review

At 0.3 ml, KO MELLOW is roughly ChapStick-sized, requires no charging and slips effortlessly into a pocket or bag. That makes it wonderfully convenient, especially if you don’t want to carry around cartridges, batteries and the rest of your cannabinoid paraphernalia like some kind of travelling vape salesman.

The effect is equally uncomplicated. The 5% HHBD gives me a noticeable little something without making me feel intoxicated, while the CBD side of the formula leaves me feeling pleasantly relaxed and unwound. It’s subtle enough that I can easily imagine KO MELLOW appealing to beginners, people taking a tolerance break, or experienced users who don’t always want a stronger effect every time they reach for a vape.

The flavour gets another big thumbs-up from me. Rather than candy, fruit or dessert terpenes, this has a genuinely grassy, cannabis-like taste. And as someone who actually enjoys that flavour, I found myself reaching for it again and again.

Which brings us to my one significant gripe: 0.3 ml disappears awfully quickly.

At around ¥5,000, putting such a small amount into a disposable device feels a little mottainai to me, particularly because the effect itself is relatively short-lived and so easy to top up throughout the day. The convenience is excellent, but I’d personally love to see either a larger-capacity version or another format that gives me more product before the entire device reaches the end of its life.

Ironically, that complaint exists largely because KO MELLOW is so enjoyable to use. It’s smooth, portable, discreet, pleasantly mild and requires absolutely no fuss. I just wish our relationship lasted a little longer. Still, if the whole point of MELLOW is to offer something lighter and easier to reach for, I think Knockout has nailed that part. Not every cannabinoid experience needs to send you to the moon. Sometimes you just want to take the edge off, relax a little and carry on with your day or evening.

For beginners, tolerance breaks, or experienced users who occasionally want a little something rather than A Whole Thing, MELLOW fills that space beautifully. Now please, Knockout. Give me more than 0.3 ml of it. 😂 🤲 🍃
